Description
Alongside the S13D the Gallant Zero-gravity Prototype was central to the development of dedicated .Zero-Gravity Frames like the MP-L4N Lancer. A Stock Gallant was used as the base test model and was completely overhauled due to the unique challenges presented by zero gravity environment.
Although the technical staff and the project's Test Pilot's claim the the prototype is combat ready as-is but logistically it's not an ideal weapon platform. The numerous high mobility thrusters, while effective they greatly increase the mechanical complexity of the Frame and are prone to combat damage and breakdowns from wear and tear. Some aspects, like the high output backpack, optics and sensors only had minor modifications made before being incorporated into the MP-L4N's design.
Fitted with 18 separate Thruster assemblies, 8 being Primary thrusters and 10 banks of Maneuvering Thrusters. To fuel all the thrusters Additional Fuel tanks were fitted as part of the Backpack. Using Darker colors to help blend in and Extra Armor fitted rounds out the design.
Seen here fitted with a Small Buster Shield and a Lancer Heavy Rifle.
This is an older design but I had a lot of fun coming up with all these little vignettes! Everything was designed in Lego Digital Design and then rendered in LDD-2-POVray.
I'll be featuring this Solar War Design and others in some upcoming short stories and other works as well.
