Description

With the mountains of test data derived from the Powered Gallant Program several Variants were designed to make the most of the improvements. The Gallant Striker was the first to be Field Tested. Of note it provided 20% additional torque through the arms and additional 13% through the Legs compared to a stock Gallant. The Gallant Striker features an additional 10% Armor Density and a higher output backpack that still provides better maneuverability despite teh added weight. These elements made teh Gallant Striker into an ideal CQC orientated Exo-Frame. It is often seem equipped with the smaller Fighting Shield paired with a Combat Axe to supplement the smaller Combat Knife it mounts on each thigh. More experienced pilots tend to upgrade to the Crusher Shield, similar in size to the Fighting Shield but in addition mounts a pair of Combat Knives on high torque actuators, in their own these are a powerful addition but by grasping a third Combat Knife in the frame's manipulator for the entire arrangement into a makeshift power claw capable of easily grappling with any opponent to date. This can often surprise enemy pilots often allowing for an "avoidable" killing blow to be delivered with the other arm. Other pilots prefer to improve the suit's offensive equipment with more potent melee weaponry and will often equip weapons like the Shot-Glaive. Although it is not as robust as a Combat Axe the longer reach and thinner blade can easily tip the scales in a pilot's favor. should that not be enough it also mounts a small shotgun perpendicular to the blade. It has a limit of 3 shots and isn't effective against any known armor but at close range and with careful aim it can damage lightly armored areas like sensors, manipulators and even other weapons in the best circumstances.

The Gallant Striker has seen much use in more built up areas like cities and dense terrain with it can make the most out of a CQC focused loadout but many Section Leaders like to use Strikers simply due to the improved performance and armor density.

This is an older design but I had a lot of fun coming up with all these little vignettes! Everything was designed in Lego Digital Design and then rendered in LDD-2-POVray.

I'll be featuring this Solar War Design and others in some upcoming short stories and other works as well.
